Dr. Naomi Kort is a postdoctoral fellow. She completed her undergraduate work in physics at Columbia University and received her Ph.D. from the UCSF/UC Berkeley Joint Ph.D. Program in Bioengineering. Her research interests include neural predicative coding in motor control and how sensory feedback is used to guide movement. She uses non-invasive neuroimaging techniques include MEG and EEG. Her graduate work with Dr. Srikantan Nagarajan and Dr. John Houde focused on the role of auditory feedback during speech motor control. Currently, she is studying the disruption of predictive coding during goal directed movements in patients with schizophrenia.
Her hobbies include skiing, rock climbing, and hiking.
