Janet graduated from UC Berkeley in May 2020 with a B.A. in Cognitive Science. As an undergraduate, she was a senior research assistant at the Golden Bear Sleep and Mood Research Clinic, where she studied the barriers and facilitators to behavior change. She was also a research assistant at the Cognition and Action Laboratory, where she studied the relationship between proprioception and motor control. She also volunteered at UCSF’s Memory and Aging Center, where she helped researchers better understand frontotemporal dementia. Before joining BIEEGL in 2021, she worked as a clinical research coordinator under the Department of Electrophysiology at UCSF. By joining BIEGGL, Janet wants to learn more about early detection of psychosis risk syndrome as well as improving current treatment options to be more holistic and individualized. Outside of research, she enjoys creating videos, curating playlists, and exploring the numerous independent bookstores in SF. In the future, Janet hopes to pursue a M.D. in Neurology.
