Parham Pourdavood completed his undergraduate studies at University of California, Berkeley, where he studied computer and cognitive sciences. During his time at Berkeley, he got involved in theoretical neuroscience research studying topics such as catastrophic forgetting in deep neural networks, detection of community structures using nonlinear mathematical models, and the emergence of goal-directed behavior in biological organisms and brains. After graduating from college, he's been working as a cognitive and geospatial data science consultant engaged in projects centered around the exploration of planetary intelligence. In 2019, he joined BIEEGL as a research volunteer, focusing on analyzing EEG and fMRI data. His research involves reconstructing brain waves as high-dimensional strange attractors, providing insights into concepts such as neuro-metabolic coupling and aging. In 2022, Parham co-founded Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Research Group to foster interdisciplinary collaboration between scholars in the neurosciences, humanities, arts, and medicine.
